Nate Mott writes from the wild within. His songs challenge the ordinary and invite listeners to rise into something deeper, into purpose, presence, and grit. Raised in Vermont, his music is rooted in place yet reaching beyond it, distilling memory, landscape, and experience into something both intimate and expansive.

At thirteen, Mott left Vermont under circumstances not entirely his own, but he carried it with him. The orange newts beneath moss-covered logs, the shock of cold mountain springs, the scent of pine, and the steady truth of granite all found their way into his earliest songs. Alone in a new place, his guitar became his closest companion, shaping music drawn from the Green Mountains, the Ompompanoosuc River, and the quiet ache of growing up between worlds.

A self-taught musician, wandering nomad, and lifelong truth-seeker, Mott’s path has been anything but linear. Years later, after losing himself to anxiety, medication, and a version of the music world that no longer felt like home, he stepped away entirely, until life, in its quiet insistence, called him back.

A chevy van, a stage in Asheville, and a return to New England brought everything full circle.

Today, his music walks the line between solitude and connection, memory and momentum, always reaching for the deeper current beneath the surface. Each song carries the imprint of his journey: loss, rediscovery, and the enduring call of the wild within.
